Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Experts and scientists discussed the current situation regarding arboviruses during a meeting with President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

Deputy Minister of Health Carilda Peña García stated on the “Buenos Días” program that 33 people have so far died from arboviruses.

According to the Deputy Minister, 12 of the deceased died from dengue fever (seven under the age of 18) and 21 from chikungunya fever (14 under 18).

Havana University mathematician and Director of Science and Technology Dr. Raúl Guinovart Díaz emphasized that regional and national forecasting analyses indicate that the behavior of arboviruses will be unfavorable in the coming weeks.

In a separate interview, Guinovart Díaz explained that in addition to vector-control measures, the decrease in temperatures at this time of year helps reduce the spread of *Aedes aegypti*.

However, he warned that mosquitoes will now seek warmer areas, especially inside homes, making it essential for the population to strengthen preventive measures, particularly eliminating potential breeding sites.
