Baqaei: The resistance of Syrian youth against Zionist forces is a legitimate act of self-defense
Tehran, 29 November (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei condemned the ground and air attacks on the Beit Jinn region in southern Syria, highlighting the legitimate right of local people to defend themselves.
Baqaei condemned the Zionist regime’s ground and air attacks on the Beit Jinn area in southern Syria, which resulted in the deaths of many Syrian citizens.
He emphasized that it is the natural right of regional countries to defend their national sovereignty and territorial integrity, describing the resistance of Syrian youth against Zionist forces as a legitimate act of self-defense.
The spokesman noted that the Zionist regime continues its violations of international law in the region and the expansion of its crimes. He also expressed regret over the UN Security Council’s ineffectiveness regarding attacks on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of regional countries, especially Syria and Lebanon, warning of the negative consequences for global peace and stability.
