Blue Origin rocket successfully lands booster for the first time
Florida, 14 November (Hibya) – Blue Origin, the space company owned by Jeff Bezos, successfully launched its New Glenn rocket from Florida. The reusable booster powering New Glenn separated from the upper stage and landed on a floating landing pad in the Atlantic Ocean. This marks a first successful achievement for Blue Origin.
The rocket was carrying two NASA spacecraft launched toward Mars. The Escapade satellites will take 22 months to reach the planet and will orbit it to measure its atmosphere and magnetic field.
Until now, Elon Musk’s SpaceX was the only company to have achieved this feat.
