Brekelmans: Putin thinks terror will work, but Ukraine’s spirit is unbreakable
Amsterdam, 29 November (Hibya) – Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans reacted to the attack on Kyiv, carried out with 600 drones and 36 missiles, saying: “Putin believes terror will work, but Ukraine’s spirit cannot be broken.”
Brekelmans condemned Russia’s massive assault on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Highlighting the scale of the attack, he stated: “For the people in Kyiv, once again Russian terror — nearly 600 drones and 36 missiles.”
He emphasized that Putin aims to achieve results through continuous attacks, but this strategy will fail: “Putin thinks that relentless terror will work, but Ukraine’s spirit is unbreakable.”
Brekelmans added that Russia only backs down when forced: “Putin will stop only when he is compelled to — through massive support for Ukraine and pressure on Russia.”
