Budrys: Negotiating with Russia without strong leverage is a waste of time
Vilnius, May 27 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys stated that negotiating with Russia without strong leverage would not produce results, saying there is no successful example of this in history.
According to Lithuanian Foreign Minister Budrys, negotiating with Russia without holding a strong leverage card is a waste of time. Budrys said there is no historical example where such an approach has worked.
Budrys stated that Europe should take tougher steps against Russia, calling for the use of frozen assets and a demonstration of strength. Otherwise, he warned, the world would face more threats and manipulation. The statement emphasized that the issue concerns not only Ukraine’s security but also the security of all Europe.
