Greek and Cypriot foreign ministers meet at the Third Intergovernmental Summit
Athens, November 12 (Hibya) – Officials from the foreign ministries of Greece and Cyprus discussed bilateral relations and coordination ahead of the expanded Cyprus talks scheduled for the first half of 2026.
Greek Foreign Minister Gerapetritis and Deputy Minister Papadopoulou met with Cypriot Foreign Minister K. Kombo and Deputy Minister for European Affairs Raouna to discuss relations and coordination between the two countries.
The talks took place ahead of the expanded Cyprus meeting, which will be held under the auspices of the United Nations (UN) in the first half of 2026.
During the meeting, a joint declaration was also signed, providing that the Republic of Cyprus will be represented in Schengen visa procedures through Greek consulates. The declaration was signed by Greek Foreign Minister Gerapetritis and Cypriot Foreign Minister Kombo.
