Only 17% of Russians do not trust Putin
Moscow, 14 November (Hibya) – According to a survey published on the website of the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM), only 17% of Russians do not trust Vladimir Putin.
According to the survey, the majority of Russians (77.8%) trust President Vladimir Putin, and 75.3% approve of his performance as head of state.
47% of Russians approve of the government's performance, while 20.9% do not. Meanwhile, 58.3% of respondents stated that they trust Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, while 20.2% said they do not trust him.
The VCIOM–Sputnik survey was conducted between 3–9 November 2025 among 1,600 Russian citizens aged 18 and above. The survey method was telephone interviews using a random sample of mobile phone numbers. The maximum margin of error does not exceed 1% with a 95% confidence level.
VCIOM, which became a fully state-owned joint-stock company in 2003, conducts “full-cycle” marketing, social, and political research—from tool design and data collection to analysis and presentation of findings.
