Radman: We are working to preserve the equality of Croats
Zagreb, November 12 (Hibya) – Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman, representing his country at the European Court of Human Rights in the case regarding Bosnia’s electoral system, emphasized the importance of safeguarding the equality of Croats.
Minister Radman announced that Croatia participated as a third party in the “Kovačević v. Bosnia and Herzegovina” case before the European Court of Human Rights.
Radman stated that the case has significant implications for the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and for the status of Croats as one of the three constituent peoples.
The minister explained to the Court the mechanisms of the Dayton Peace Agreement, highlighting the importance of preserving the equality of Croats.
The European Court of Human Rights rejected the plaintiff’s claims, confirming that the power-sharing system established by the Dayton Agreement is consistent with the European Convention on Human Rights.
