Schoof: Noordwijk, Europe’s gateway to space
Noordwijk, November 12 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof visited the ESTEC facility in Noordwijk, one of the most important centers of the European Space Agency (ESA).
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof visited the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC), which operates under the European Space Agency (ESA). Following his visit, Schoof emphasized the strategic importance of Noordwijk in Europe’s space endeavors.
Schoof noted that the 23 member states of the ESA cooperate in various fields, and that more than 3,500 international engineers, technicians, and scientists in Noordwijk work on space missions and technology development projects.
He further highlighted that the work carried out at the center is of great importance not only for Europe’s space activities but also for high-skilled employment and regional innovation in South Holland.
