Lula da Silva stated that the sector plays an important role in Brazil’s decarbonization process and said that blending ethanol with gasoline contributes to the transition toward sustainable energy.
He also emphasized that this practice reduces the need for gasoline imports in the face of rising international oil prices, adding that it strengthens Brazil’s energy sovereignty.
