Sybiha held a phone call with his Swedish counterpart
Kyiv, 14 November (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a telephone conversation with Sweden’s Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard.
Sybiha expressed his satisfaction at speaking with his Swedish counterpart Stenergard.
He informed her about the consequences of Russia’s intensive attacks and the situation at the frontline, noting that their discussion focused on joint efforts to strengthen Ukraine and its defense capabilities.
Sybiha emphasized the importance of the recently signed agreement that paves the way for Ukraine to acquire Gripen fighter jets.
“I expressed my gratitude to Sweden for its unwavering support, especially for the vital energy assistance packages and its principled stance regarding the use of Russia’s frozen assets. I also informed my counterpart about Ukraine’s response to the recent corruption investigations and our firm commitment to ensuring accountability.”
