Tajani: Russia must stop the bombings
Rome, 14 November (Hibya) – Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated that Russia must stop the bombings, emphasizing that targeting civilians is absolutely unacceptable.
Tajani made a statement regarding Russia’s latest attack on Ukraine.
He noted that yet another night of terror was experienced in Kyiv and across Ukraine, with drones and missiles targeting civilians. “Among the dead and injured are children: the Ukrainian people are the target of these criminal attacks,” he said.
Tajani stressed that Russia must halt the bombings and that hitting civilians is completely unacceptable. “Italy continues to stand by the Ukrainian people with humanitarian and energy assistance, and continues to support a just peace,” he added.
The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, also reacted to Russia’s attacks, saying:
“Russia’s overnight attacks on Kyiv clearly show its determination to persist in the war. Today in Berlin, we discussed how to increase our support for Ukraine while also strengthening Europe’s defense.”
