According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska participated in the “Bring Kids Back UA” meeting in Paris, alongside France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron and the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot.

It was stated that this initiative, launched by President Zelensky, has a single fundamental goal: to return every abducted Ukrainian child to their home.

Zelenska noted that 1,859 children have already been returned to Ukraine, stressing that this outcome has required — and continues to require — the efforts of many countries and individuals. She highlighted that, to coordinate these efforts, Ukraine and its partners have established the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

Zelenska emphasized that Russia refuses to provide information about the children who were illegally deported, and she stated that bringing back these children is not about politics. She underlined that this is a matter of empathy, justice, and responding to severe violations of human and children’s rights.
