Zelensky: Russia’s oil and gas revenues are significantly declining
Kyiv, November 12 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the decline in Russia’s oil and gas revenues is limiting its war capacity.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared the report presented by Foreign Intelligence Service Chief Oleh Ivashchenko, stating that the joint pressure on Russia is producing results.
President Zelensky said:
“For the first time since the beginning of the war, this year there has been a noticeable decline in Russia’s oil production and refining. Russia’s budget revenues from oil and gas are decreasing, and by the end of the year, Russia will have lost at least $37 billion in these revenues. Moreover, Russian oil companies and the energy sector are losing tens of billions more. All of this limits Russia’s war machine. Both traditional sanctions and Ukraine’s long-range measures are working effectively. New areas for implementing sanctions have also been identified. I thank our partners for their fully justified legal strikes against Russia’s oil fleet – the Russians are now using fewer tankers. Today, I also met with the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service to discuss the return of Ukrainian children abducted by the Russians and other operations abroad.”
