Zelensky: We discussed increasing pressure on Russia with Finland
Kyiv, 14 November (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a statement regarding his phone call with Finland’s President Alexander Stubb.
Zelensky described Russia’s latest attack targeting civilian areas in Ukraine as “treacherous,” noting that Stubb conveyed his condolences to the Ukrainian people.
He said that Stubb condemned the attack, and expressed gratitude for Finland’s support. The discussion covered additional steps to support Ukraine and joint initiatives to increase pressure on Russia.
Zelensky emphasized that international pressure on Russia is essential to end the war, stating: “Sanctions and forceful pressure are the only ways that can compel Russia to end this war.”
