Palestinian Foreign Minister Shahin discusses humanitarian and political cooperation in Bahrain
Manama, November 2 (Hibya) – Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Varsine Aghabekian Shahin, met with officials from the Kingdom of Bahrain to discuss humanitarian aid to Palestine and the sustainability of the ceasefire in Gaza.
Palestinian Foreign Minister Dr. Varsine Aghabekian Shahin met with Dr. Mustafa Ali Mohammed Al-Sayed, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain’s Royal Humanitarian Aid Foundation. The meeting focused on Bahrain’s humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip. Dr. Al-Sayed conveyed his greetings to President Mahmoud Abbas and affirmed that Bahrain’s humanitarian efforts would continue.
Minister Shahin also met with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Zayani, on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue Conference hosted by Bahrain. The two sides discussed the sustainability of the ceasefire in Gaza and addressing the conflict through a comprehensive political solution. Minister Shahin expressed her appreciation for Bahrain’s support of the Palestinian people, while Al-Zayani emphasized the importance of a political environment that fosters coexistence among the peoples of the region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Shahin expressed her gratitude to Bahrain for its support in helping the Palestinian people overcome the effects of the war and for aiding the reconstruction process.
