Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

President Rumen Radev bid farewell to the team of the 34th Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition.

In his speech, Radev emphasized that researchers in Antarctica are shaping a model for a future based on understanding, friendship, solidarity, and cooperation instead of wars. He wished the expedition members health, strength, and perseverance, adding: “Fly our flag proudly at the St. Kliment Ohridski Station. Most importantly, return safely and contribute new knowledge to our country.”

Radev stated that thanks to the vision and efforts of Bulgarian scientists, the country is now among the “first polar nations.” He highlighted that the expanding technical capabilities of Bulgaria’s base on Livingston Island allow it to provide logistical support to scientists from other countries. He also noted that the Bulgarian research vessel “Sts. Cyril and Methodius” will embark on its fourth polar voyage this year, and he thanked the ambassadors of supporting nations and Prof. Pimpirev’s team for their contributions.

This year, the Bulgarian flag will once again fly over the St. Kliment Ohridski Base in mid-November. The first group of researchers will depart for Chile tomorrow and will reach Livingston Island on November 10 aboard the Chilean navy vessel “Agiles” departing from the port of Punta Arenas.
