Zelensky reported that in Kramatorsk, a Russian drone directly struck a vehicle belonging to “Freedom” TV, killing journalist Olena Hubanova and cameraman Yevhen Karmazin, while journalist Oleksandr Kolychev was seriously injured.

The President expressed his condolences to the families, relatives, and colleagues of the deceased journalists, saying, “Their courage in conveying the truth about Russian aggression will never be forgotten.” Zelensky wished a speedy recovery to the injured journalist, adding, “I wish strength to Kolychev’s family and loved ones.”

Zelensky also recalled that French photojournalist Antoni Lallican was recently killed in a similar Russian attack, while his Ukrainian colleague Heorhii Ivanchenko was injured. He stated that since 2022, Russia has killed 135 media representatives.
