According to a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Sani, received the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, who visited Qatar on Sunday.

The statement said: "During the meeting, strategic relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to support and develop these relations were discussed. The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized Qatar's determination to continue joint mediation efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip. He also reiterated Qatar’s full support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, as well as for the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people for security and stability. The Minister also expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Republic of Turkey to promote peace, security, and stability at both the regional and international levels."
