EP President Metsola congratulates Japan’s first female Prime Minister
Brussels, October 21 (Hibya) – European Parliament President Roberta Metsola issued a congratulatory message following the election of Sanae Takaichi as Japan’s first female Prime Minister.
In a post on social media, Metsola wrote: “I warmly congratulate Sanae Takaichi on being elected Japan’s first female Prime Minister.”
Metsola also stated that she looks forward to further strengthening the strong partnership between the European Union and Japan, particularly in the areas of trade and economic cooperation.
