IDF Chief of Staff Zamir: Our mission will continue until all hostages return
Tel Aviv, October 13 (Hibya) – The Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, held a situation assessment meeting with General Staff members at the Hostages and Missing Persons Headquarters ahead of the hostages’ return.
The meeting was attended by Major General (Res.) Nitzan Alon, Commander of the Hostages and Missing Persons Headquarters; Major General Itzik Cohen, Head of the Operations Directorate; Major General Shlomi Binder, Head of the Military Intelligence Directorate; Major General Yaniv Asor, Commander of the Southern Command; Major General Avi Blut, Commander of the Central Command; and the Deputy Director of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).
Chief of Staff Zamir thanked all army units for their readiness and emphasized the importance of maintaining a high level of preparedness and alertness. Zamir stated: “Our mission is not yet complete; the return of all hostages is our national and moral responsibility.”
