Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke by phone with Algerian Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs Ahmed Attaf.

The ministers discussed priority issues aimed at strengthening the deep strategic partnership between Russia and Algeria. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the level of trust-based political dialogue and reliable cooperation in multilateral forums, particularly within the framework of the United Nations.

During the conversation, special attention was given to the work program focusing on the Western Sahara peace process, within the context of Russia’s current presidency of the UN Security Council.
