In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the report of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on genocide in Gaza was welcomed. The statement read:

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine welcomes the report issued by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry, which leaves no doubt that the illegal occupying power, Israel, has committed the crime of genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip as part of a deliberate and widespread policy aimed at the systematic destruction of the Palestinian people.”
