Pavel: Aviation is an integral part of our country’s critical infrastructure
Prague, October 21 (Hibya) – Czech President Petr Pavel emphasized the importance of the aviation sector as a vital part of the nation’s critical infrastructure.
Pavel visited the Civil Aviation Vocational School, Prague Airport’s Fire and Rescue Unit, and the Czech Air Traffic Control Center yesterday.
In his remarks during the visit, President Pavel underlined that each of these institutions plays a crucial role in the aviation system. He said, “The school trains the aircraft technicians of the future, the airport fire brigade ensures a fast and professional response in case of fire, and air traffic control coordinates the movement of aircraft both in the air and on the ground. Together, these institutions create a safe and reliable airspace management system.”
Pavel also noted that Prague Airport serves as an important driver for the Czech economy and tourism. He warned that European airports face increasing threats such as drone intrusions, highlighting the importance of maintaining high safety standards.
