Russian President Putin to visit China
Moscow, August 29 (Hibya) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit the People’s Republic of China from August 31 to September 3.
According to a statement from the Kremlin, Russian President Putin will visit the People’s Republic of China from August 31 to September 3 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Putin will attend and deliver a speech at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit to be held in Tianjin. The summit will address the state of cooperation and prospects for its expansion in all areas of SCO activities, as well as current international and regional issues.
On September 1, a meeting in the “SCO Plus” format will be held, with the participation of leaders of SCO member states, observer countries, dialogue partners of the organization, as well as states and international organizations invited by the Chinese presidency.
On September 2, a trilateral meeting will be held in Beijing with the participation of the Presidents of Russia, China, and Mongolia. Putin, Xi Jinping, and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh will exchange views on key areas of work in various fields.
On the same day, as part of Putin’s official visit to China, high-level talks are scheduled in Beijing. Putin and Xi Jinping will discuss further strengthening and developing the comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction between Russia and China, as well as practical cooperation between the two countries. The agenda also includes global and regional issues and cooperation on multilateral platforms.
Putin will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with foreign leaders.
