Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar received Russian Ambassador Anatoly Viktorov in Jerusalem. During the meeting, they discussed developments in the Middle East, the implementation of the first stage of U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace initiative, and the crisis in Ukraine.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared positions regarding the protection of Russia’s property rights in the Holy Land, as well as on historical issues such as World War II and the Red Army’s contribution to Victory. The commitment to continuing political dialogue and maintaining the constructive nature of Russia–Israel cooperation was once again emphasized.
