Prime Minister Schoof extended his deepest condolences to the family and friends of Lisa from Abcoude, who was killed last Tuesday, and expressed his support for all other women who have been victims of violence or intimidation.

He pointed out that although not every case receives the same public attention, such horrific incidents do occur, and added:

“Girls and women in this country must always be safe. Day and night. At home, on the street, or anywhere else. That is why I greatly appreciate the ‘Reclaim the Night’ initiative. I believe this message could not have been clearer or more moving.”
