Schoof: We will continue to support Albania's steps on its EU path
Amsterdam, 17 November (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof hosted Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama at Catshuis.
In a written statement regarding the meeting, Schoof noted that relations between the two countries are “excellent” and expressed his pleasure in hosting Rama.
Schoof highlighted the strong economic cooperation between the Netherlands and Albania, emphasizing that NATO’s prestigious Porto Romano project offers important opportunities for Dutch companies.
The leaders also discussed migration, the fight against organized crime, and defence cooperation within the NATO framework.
Prime Minister Schoof said they welcome Albania’s positive progress in its EU accession process, stressing the importance of additional work in the field of the rule of law.
“The Netherlands will continue to actively support Albania’s steps on its path to EU membership,” Schoof stated.
