Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez issues condolence message for Jose Mujica
Madrid, May 13 (Hibya) – Former President of Uruguay, Jose Mujica, passed away at the age of 89. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez issued a message of condolence.
Pedro Sanchez stated that Pepe Mujica believed in a better world, fought for it, and lived for it, saying: “Politics only gains meaning when lived with such a heart. I send my deepest sympathies to his family and to Uruguay.”
Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, added: “Rest in peace, Pepe Mujica. A Uruguayan of global stature, a leader in Latin America and the world in honor, fighting poverty, social justice, and environmental matters. His example will always guide us.”
