Starmer: We will protect millions of tenants from dangerous living conditions
London, October 27 (Hibya) – UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that, starting today, new rules will come into effect across the country to protect millions of tenants from dangerous living conditions.
Prime Minister Starmer said that Awaab Ishak was only two years old when he tragically died after being exposed to mold in his home.
“No one should ever have to go through what he and his family experienced,” said Starmer. “That’s why, starting today, we are implementing new rules to protect millions of tenants across the country from dangerous living conditions.”
Starmer stated that this reform will compel landlords to take immediate action when lives are at risk.
