UN issues message for Disarmament Week
New York, October 27 (Hibya) – The United Nations (UN), in a statement marking Disarmament Week, recalled that its very first resolution was on disarmament and emphasized that since its founding it has led global efforts in this field.
In its statement for Disarmament Week, the UN highlighted that its first-ever resolution focused on disarmament and reaffirmed its leadership in advancing global disarmament efforts.
The UN statement read:
“The very first resolution of the United Nations was on disarmament. Since that day, we have worked to establish a comprehensive framework to promote global disarmament. During this Disarmament Week, let us renew our commitment to striving for a safer and more peaceful future.”
