Sybiha: Estonia has stood by us since the first days of the war
Kyiv, October 27 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that Estonia has shown unwavering support and principled leadership, standing by Ukraine since the first days of Russia’s full-scale war.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha expressed his pleasure in welcoming Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna in Kyiv.
He said that they discussed the situation on the battlefield, Russia’s “terror” against civilians and energy infrastructure, ways to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience, and increasing pressure on Moscow.
“Next year, Estonia will chair the Nordic-Baltic Eight — a group of Ukraine’s close allies. We have high expectations and discussed common priorities. We also addressed the full use of frozen Russian assets, accountability for the crime of aggression, Ukraine’s EU membership, recovery, and mutually beneficial cooperation within the SAFE mechanism. I am grateful to Estonia for allocating 10 million euros under the PURL initiative,” Sybiha stated.
Sybiha thanked Estonia for its continued support in strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience, especially before winter, adding: “Estonia has stood by us with unwavering support and principled leadership since the first days — and even before — Russia’s full-scale war.”
