Szijjarto: Allegations against Dodik proved to be baseless
Budapest, November 6 (Hibya) – Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto stated that once again the allegations against Milorad Dodik had proven to be unfounded, and that Bosnian authorities were forced to drop additional investigations against the former president of Republika Srpska.
Minister Szijjarto emphasized that the allegations against Dodik had once again been shown to be baseless, and Bosnian authorities had no choice but to close the supplementary investigations.
He added that by lifting sanctions, the United States had left the European Union alone on a critical issue concerning the stability of the Western Balkans. “By continuing this political witch hunt against Serbian leaders, Brussels and some Western European countries are undermining this goal,” he said.
Szijjarto stressed that the time has come for Western Europe to stop looking down on and lecturing the leaders of the Western Balkans, saying, “The decisions of the peoples of the region must be respected, and relations with the Western Balkans must be based on mutual respect.”
