UNRWA: Aid must not be restricted
New York, October 22 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) stated that all crossings must be opened and aid deliveries must not be restricted.
UNRWA said in a statement that the aid reaching Gaza is “a drop in the ocean” compared to the urgent needs on the ground.
“All crossings must be opened and aid must not be restricted,” the statement said. “Around 6,000 UNRWA trucks carrying vital humanitarian supplies are waiting to depart from Jordan and Egypt.”
