Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The Venezuelan government stated that it would not comment on Machado’s award and said the closure was part of a restructuring of the foreign ministry.

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Caracas had closed its embassy in Oslo without providing any justification.

The Nobel Committee in Oslo awarded Machado on Friday for her “tireless efforts to defend the democratic rights of the Venezuelan people,” while Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro called the 58-year-old laureate a “demonic witch.”

Nobel Committee Chairman Jorgen Watne Frydnes, honoring Machado’s achievement, described her as “a key and unifying figure in a once deeply divided political opposition… within a ruthless authoritarian state facing humanitarian and economic crisis.”

Caracas also closed its embassy in Australia while opening new representations in Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso, which it described as “strategic partners in the struggle against hegemonic pressures.”

The closure of Venezuela’s embassies in two close U.S. allies followed weeks of escalating tensions between Caracas and Washington.
