von der Leyen: Jordan’s stabilizing role is very valuable for Europe
Portorož, October 20 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen met with King Abdullah II of Jordan.
European Commission President von der Leyen stated that Jordan’s stabilizing role in the Middle East is highly valuable for Europe.
She emphasized that cooperation between the European Union and Jordan is being strengthened with the goal of building a peaceful and prosperous Mediterranean future, noting that under the EU–Jordan Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership, work is progressing rapidly with an investment and financial support package worth 3 billion euros.
Von der Leyen highlighted that next year, the partnership will reach a new stage with the first-ever EU–Jordan Summit.
