Von der Leyen: We are mobilizing private capital in Europe
Brussels, October 27 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen met with the Swedish Prime Minister and representatives of Swedish companies during her visit to Stockholm.
Von der Leyen stated that intense efforts are being made to make more private capital available to support the growth of entrepreneurs in Europe. She noted that the EU is building a “Savings and Investment Union” and will benefit from Sweden’s positive experience in this process.
The European Commission President also emphasized that Europe will accelerate the adoption of new technologies and increase spending on research and development (R&D).
