Zelensky: Fires broke out in Zaporizhia and homes were hit in Kyiv
Kyiv, October 22 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that ordinary cities, particularly energy infrastructure, were under fire and that many residential buildings were hit.
In his statement, President Zelensky said: “Another night proving that Russia does not feel enough pressure to end the war.” He noted that air defense forces, mobile fire groups, and drone interception teams worked throughout the night and into the morning. Zelensky added that ordinary cities, especially energy infrastructure, were under attack, and many residential buildings were struck.
Zelensky reported that fires broke out in Zaporizhia and that homes were hit in Kyiv, adding:
“Kyiv, Odesa, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, Cherkasy, and Sumy regions were under attack. So far, 17 people are known to have been injured. Sadly, six people, including two children, have lost their lives.”
