President Zelensky said that Ukraine continues to synchronize joint sanctions within its jurisdiction, and that the EU’s 19th package of sanctions against Russia is now effective in Ukraine.

He also noted that work is underway to expand the scope of EU sanctions to the jurisdictions of other European countries outside the Union, stating:

“This is a powerful package that specifically targets Russian resource exports and plans to supply electronic components to Russia. The overall impact of the 19th package on limiting Russia’s revenue is estimated at no less than tens of billions of euros annually.”

Zelensky said he had instructed Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council to prepare new decisions based on relevant submissions concerning Russian propaganda and military production entities and their collaborators, adding: “This contributes to reducing Russia’s ability to finance its war effort. We know our partners will follow suit by including our proposals in their own sanctions packages.”
