Zelensky: We expect action from the US, Europe and the whole world
Kyiv, August 30 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the war will not end with political statements alone, real steps are needed, stressing that they expect action from the US, Europe and the whole world.
Zelensky announced that all emergency teams were mobilized after the Russian attack on a five-story residential building in Zaporizhzhia.
He stated that one person was killed and dozens of others, including children, were injured. “It was again an ordinary apartment building. Air defense forces and emergency crews also operated in other regions throughout the night,” Zelensky said.
Zelensky reported that the regions of Volyn, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv were affected by the attack.
He said that they saw the world’s reaction to the previous attack, but Russia once again showed its disregard for words, so they are expecting real action. Zelensky stated:
“It is absolutely clear that Moscow is using the time allocated to prepare for a leaders’ meeting to carry out new major attacks. The only way to reopen a window for diplomacy is to take strong measures against everyone who finances the Russian army and to impose effective sanctions on Moscow, including banking and energy sanctions.”
Zelensky concluded: “This war will not end with political statements alone; real steps are needed. We expect action from the US, Europe and the whole world.”
