Al-Thani holds talks with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Mirzoyan
Doha, March 28 (Hibya) - Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani discussed regional military tensions and possible solutions in a phone call with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Al-Thani held a phone call on March 28, 2026, in Doha with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Mirzoyan.
During the call, the latest developments in regional military escalation and their impact on regional and global security and stability were discussed. The parties also evaluated steps toward resolving all disputes through peaceful means.
Al-Thani emphasized the need to stop Iran’s attacks against Qatar and other countries in the region, warning particularly about the serious risks of targeting water, food, and energy infrastructure.
He highlighted the importance of increasing coordination, strengthening joint efforts, and returning to the negotiation process, stressing that reason and prudence must be prioritized. This approach would contribute to safeguarding global energy security, freedom of maritime navigation, environmental security, and regional stability.
