Spain’s Foreign Minister Albares extended congratulations to Melanie Joly on her appointment as Industry Minister.

Albares noted that he has worked closely with Joly in recent years to strengthen Spain-Canada relations and to promote shared values such as peace, tolerance, democracy, free trade, and a rules-based international order.

Albares also congratulated Anita Anand on her appointment as Canada’s Foreign Minister, saying: “We look forward to working with you to further strengthen our already close bilateral relations, defend democracy, and tackle global challenges together.”
