Anand: Canada's diplomatic role in Europe is growing stronger
Ottawa, October 28 (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand said diplomatic engagement with European countries was increasing, emphasizing efforts to deepen security cooperation and create new opportunities for Canadian businesses.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand said in a statement that Canada was increasingly participating in important diplomatic discussions in Europe. Anand noted that she attended this year's Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels alongside her European counterparts and became the first Canadian foreign minister to participate in the Gymnich meeting held in Ireland.
Anand said that this week, while hosting European Union (EU) leaders in Montreal, Canada was building on these diplomatic engagements with further steps aimed at deepening security cooperation and creating new opportunities for Canadian businesses.
