Australian Foreign Minister Wong meets Japanese counterpart Motegi
Canberra, October 31 (Hibya) – Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong met with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting held in South Korea.
Wong stated that she congratulated Motegi on his appointment and discussed strengthening the “special strategic partnership” relationship between the two countries.
The meeting reportedly addressed joint efforts by Australia and Japan to enhance regional cooperation and explored opportunities for collaboration within the framework of the Quad (Quadrilateral Security Dialogue).
