Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, stated that another round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States is continuing in Muscat, Oman.

In his statement, Baghaei said: "Iran intends to firmly uphold its inalienable legal rights to the peaceful use of nuclear energy under the NPT and is fully prepared to continue its diplomatic engagement to ensure the already proven 'peaceful nature' of its nuclear program. Likewise, we are resolutely working to end the illegal and inhumane sanctions that have long been imposed on our people."
