Dutch Prime Minister Schoof in Curaçao
Willemstad, May 12 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof continued his visit to the countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Curaçao.
Prime Minister Schoof stated that he is continuing his Caribbean tour of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Curaçao.
In the afternoon, he met with Governor Lucille George-Wout to reflect on the developments during her term, which will end later this year. Schoof said, "I visited the 'Snoa' or Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagogue in Willemstad. Consecrated in 1732, the Snoa was built by Sephardic Jews from Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands."
He also visited the Parera Naval Base and met with the Commander of the Royal Netherlands Navy in the Caribbean, Walter Hansen. "He briefed me on the Navy’s border protection operations, key challenges, and the geopolitical situation in the region. We then toured the port. My day ended with dinner with our Curaçaoan law enforcement partners," added the Prime Minister.
