Baqaei: Iran stands stronger and prouder than ever
Tehran, April 3 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei described the attacks on his country’s strategic infrastructure as “ISIS-style terrorism” and a “war crime,” emphasizing that the ultimate goal of these acts is the destruction of Iran, but that the country remains more resilient than ever.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei made a statement regarding the targeting of bridges and infrastructure facilities built through the efforts of Iranian engineers and workers.
Referring to the symbolic and technical significance of the attacks, Baqaei said: “Destroying massive bridges that stand tall as proof of the intelligence, dedication, and tireless efforts of Iranian engineers and workers does not make the destroyers great. This ISIS/Daesh-style terrorism is a war crime.”
Highlighting long-standing pressure policies against Iran, Baqaei stated: “Similar attacks on Iran’s critical infrastructure reveal an undeniable fact: the ultimate objective is the destruction of Iran; this goal has been relentlessly pursued for nearly fifty years through political pressure, smear campaigns, economic sanctions, and the assassination of Iran’s brightest scientists and experts.”
Emphasizing his country’s determination, Baqaei concluded: “However, Iran stands stronger, prouder, and greater than ever.”
