Berendsen: We continue cooperation with Oman and condemn Iran’s attacks
Amsterdam, March 3 (Hibya) – Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen stated that during his meeting with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, he thanked Oman for its cooperation in evacuating Dutch citizens stranded in the region.
Berendsen expressed his satisfaction that Oman facilitated the departure of the first KLM evacuation flight from the region.
During the meeting, Berendsen and Albusaidi also jointly condemned Iran’s large-scale attacks in the Gulf. Emphasizing that the Netherlands supports Oman and that ongoing diplomatic efforts are important, Berendsen said his country would continue to support regional security and solidarity efforts.
Berendsen also noted that the Dutch government is working to ensure the safe evacuation of Dutch citizens in the region due to the Iranian attacks. It was stated that flights are being planned by KLM to evacuate stranded citizens from the region.
