Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys made assessments regarding diplomatic steps taken to reduce tensions in the region and Pakistan’s role in this process.

Describing the ceasefire decision as a positive start, Budrys said: "Lithuania welcomes the announcement of a temporary ceasefire between Iran and the United States."

Budrys stated that he appreciates Pakistan’s mediation efforts.

Expressing expectations for the next phase, Budrys said: "This step offers a window of opportunity for diplomacy and de-escalation. Attention should now be focused on ensuring the safe and swift reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, rebuilding trust, and working toward a lasting solution."
