Ottawa, June 6 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney held a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The two leaders discussed the longstanding relationship between Canada and India, the close people-to-people ties, and significant trade connections between their countries.
They agreed to continue cooperation between law enforcement agencies and to hold talks on security issues.
Carney invited Modi to the 2025 G7 Leaders’ Summit to be held in Kananaskis, Alberta.
Prime Ministers Carney and Modi agreed to stay in close contact and expressed their eagerness to meet at the G7 Summit later this month.
